-Custom Concrete Staining-
Custom concrete staining is the process of staining a concrete floor with with a decorative pattern or design. This can make an old, run down concrete floor into a beautiful work of art. Decorative faux patters can be applied like marble and granite or wood planks. Custom logos can be stained onto a lobby floor of a business. The options for this type of staining are as infinite as the mind’s imagination. Sweet Concrete offers custom concrete staining for clients in the greater Treasure Valley area including Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Garden City, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Middleton, and Homedale.
Being an artist my whole life I enjoy doing custom stain work much more that traditional concrete staining. I help my clients with their vision for their concrete surface by working with you every step of the designing and application process. It’s rewarding to see their vision come to life and satisfying to know that it’s going to last. Custom concrete staining doesn’t cost too much more than regular stained concrete projects so it’s worth every penny. It will be fun to work with you on your next custom staining project.
The concrete staining process starts with either honing and or thoroughly cleaning the concrete floor, wall, or counter top. The substrate is then sealed with a deep penetrating sealer. This sealer permanently waterproofs the concrete making it impervious to moisture and mineral salts that can damage the concrete. The concrete is then stained with multiple colors of water based stain. Different methods like using stencils, masking tape, sprayers, rollers, paint brushes are all used to create the unique patterns or decorative designs. After the stain has cured, a topical coating is applied to protect the stain from wear and tear. A polyurethane topical sealer is my personal favorite but epoxies, urethane, or polyurea topical coatings can also be applied. These industrial strength coatings are highly chemical and scratch resistant. They are also easy to maintain and clean while lasting for years to come.
