Color Matching
Most companies have you pick a stain color straight from the brand’s color chart. Unfortunately these colors are kind of generic and most likely won’t accent your home at all. The brand of concrete stain we carry can be mixed. Therefore almost any color of stain can be created and applied. I spend time with each client of mine, discussing the look they are going for, and going over colors and tones. Test swatches are mixed and applied to your concrete in an inconspicuous area. This is great because concrete stain reacts differently to different types of concrete. For example, you and your neighbor can have the same concrete stain applied and both will most likely look different. This is why testing colors before staining is so important. You don’t want some ugly mismatched concrete stain do you?!!
Our Process
First we pressure wash your concrete and use mild degreasers and or efflorescence removers if needed. Next we treat the concrete with a deep penetrating sealer. This soaks deep into the concrete, permanently waterproofing the substrate. In other words, this prevents moisture damage to your newly stained concrete. In addition, it also prevents freeze / thaw damage to your concrete.
Next we apply the color matched stain. After that, a three coat, outdoor urethane sealer is applied over the stained areas. Consequently, this sealer protects the stained concrete for years to come. For instance, this sealer comes in a gloss or matte finish.
