– Metallic Epoxy Boise –
What’s the newest and most creative flooring style that you’ve see around?…. You guessed it, metallic epoxies. Combining the latest technology with creative design and a unique coloration method you can now achieve one of the coolest looks for your floors. Metallic epoxy Boise!
Metallic epoxy floor coating use a combination of epoxy and metallic pigments. The marbling and glimmering effects capture light from different directions causing a shimmering color shift. In addition, these floors can then be clear coated with a urethane topcoat to make them more scratch resistant. Plus the urethane comes in a matte or gloss finish. Metallic epoxy floors are a great option when the concrete is badly damaged from deep staining that can’t be removed through the grinding process. To clarify, they are 100% opaque because primer coat is a colored epoxy. On the other hand, stains won’t shine through like they would if the floor was treated with a concrete stain.
More Information
Metallic epoxies can be applied between 12 to 50 mil thick (that’s pretty darn thick). These floor coatings are so durable and chemical resistant they can be used for applications where USDA Food & Beverage and other regulatory requirements must be obtained. For example, in food manufacturing and preparation, pharmaceutical manufacturing and dispensaries, clean rooms, commercial kitchens, laboratories and more. Other areas that these systems can be applied are garage floors, rest rooms, automotive showrooms, school gymnasium, brewery floors, concrete counter tops, restaurant and bar floors, and practically any other concrete surface you can think of.
