– Non-Slip / Anti-Skid Coatings –
Slip resistant coatings are extremely important during the rainy winter months in Treasure Valley. Non-slip / anti-skid coatings can help prevent unwanted injuries on your property… and costly insurance claims. These products work great for walkways, driveways, lobby floors, entries, etc. to prevent slips, falls, sliding, and other mishaps caused by wet or snowy surfaces. Sweet Concrete offers multiple different slip resistant coatings for concrete and masonry surfaces. We also offer our clients a snow / ice melting agent that doesn’t destroy the substrate (concrete spalling from salt), is non-corrosive to cars driving on the substrate, and is plant and pet friendly. This combination solves the problem caused by icy, wet surfaces in the winter months.
Some of the slip resistant coatings we offer are clear coatings for concrete and masonry with an anti-slip media added to the clear coat. Another option is a masonry coating that is extremely thin, doesn’t have a texture (like the non-slip media) and has a great slip coefficient rating. This particular coating can go onto ceramic or glazed tile, polished concrete, and polished stone leaving the surface with a smooth, semi-gloss finish. Another option offered is a polyurea flake system. These systems have a natural texture to them due to the paint flakes in the coating, and the non-slip media is also added into the final clear coat to add maximum anti-slip properties.
