It’s time for concrete staining Boise… and Meridian, Caldwell, Nampa, Eagle, and the rest of the Treasure Valley. See, most other companies in the Valley offer concrete staining as one of the many services they provide. Only me, Nick, at Sweet Concrete specializes in concrete staining and sealing. Let me explain more… I’ve created a proprietary method of waterproofing, staining, and sealing concrete which is unique to my company. In addition, most other companies make you pick out a color from a very limited color chart. Not me! I like to spend time with my clients, take a look at their homes and commercial spaces, and help them find the perfect color which will complement their property. I mix up multiple colors based on our discussion, then do color swatches and pick the perfect colors of stain.
My Process
First off, for interior concrete I’ll usually do a diamond grind. For most outdoor concrete I’ll pressure wash the areas and use mild degreasers or efflorescence removers if needed. Secondly, the concrete is treated with a permanent waterproofing sealer. This sealer penetrates deep into the concrete and creates a moisture barrier inside the concrete. Subsequently, this prevents freeze / thaw damage and delamination of the topcoat due to moisture. This step is unique to my company and sets us apart from the rest.
Next is the concrete staining. A water based, UV stable, concrete stain in your color choice is applied to all of the concrete areas. After the stain is dry, the indoor / outdoor, three coat urethane topcoat is applied in either a matte or gloss finish. This durable sealer will keep your stained concrete looking good for years to come. In addition, I’ll add a non-slip media into the sealer for added slip resistance when it’s wet. Pretty sweet!
